You often need to know where an object is within the overal structure of objects in order to access that object's properties and methods. You can use the Object Hierarchy Chart to see this hierarchal structure.
In addition, an Object Browser is available in many VBA editors (such as Micrsoft Excel). That browser may also help you understand object hierarchy.
You can access the Object Hierarchy chart from the "See Object Hierarchy Chart" link at the top of each topic.
The Object Hierarchy Chart shows the hierarchal relationship of all the objects in PC-DMIS's type library from left to right. The left-most item is PCDLRN.
